Preparations are in place for Santa’s journey around the world on Christmas Eve. Kids can track the jolly man's progress as he brings toys to children everywhere.

For 65 years, NORAD and its predecessor, the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD) have tracked Santa’s flight. The tradition began in 1955 after a Sears & Roebuck advertising misprint. Children were asked to call Santa but instead were connected to a U.S. Defense Department hotline.

Since, NORAD family and friends have volunteered their time to respond to phone calls and emails from children around the world.
